Indofood Sets Capex Rp2.2 Trillion for Bogasari

JAKARTA - Leading Indonesian packaged food producer PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp7.6 trillion for this year, compared to Rp6.4 trillion in 2012, Investor Daily reported this morning.

Fransiscus Welirang, INDF's director, said the company allocates Rp3 trillion capex for agribusiness group, Rp2.2 trillion for consumer branded product (CBP), Rp200 billion for distribution, and Rp2.2 trillion for Bogasari group.

Currently Bogasari is building new factory in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. This new plant will add 5,000-6,000 tons of production capacity. Bogasari now contributes 25% of INDF's total revenue.

INDF booked net profit of Rp4.78 trillion in 2012, declined from Rp4.89 trillion in 2011. Net sales increased 10% to Rp50.06 trillion from previous Rp45.33 trillion.
